Colin Kaepernick is the Face of Nike’s New “Just Do It” Campaign

NFL Quater back Colin Kaepernick who was famous for protesting against racial injustice and police brutality by kneeling during the US national anthem is the face of a new Nike advertising campaign.

The 30-year-old has been deployed by Sports company for the 30th anniversary of their Just do it campaign. Darren Rovell of ESPN is reporting that Nike has held Colin Kaepernick under contract this whole time since they signed him to an endorsement deal at the beginning of the decade.

Nike described him as “one of the most inspirational athletes of this generation”.

Gino Fisanotti, Nike’s vice-president of brand for North America, told ESPN: “He has leveraged the power of sport to help move the world forward.”

Nike’s new advertising campaign, celebrating the 30th anniversary of its ‘Just Do It’ slogan, also includes ads featuring tennis star Serena Williams, New York

Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr and Seattle Seahawks rookie linebacker Shaquem Griffin.

The NFL star made the announcement via Twitter
