2023: ‘Two Muslims Are Better’ MURIC Pledges To Support APC Presidential Candidate

Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), on Tuesday has disclosed their huge support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 presidential election because “two Muslims are better than one”.

This was contained in a statement sent to POLITICS NIGERIA by the Director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola.

The Islamic group while acknowledging that the presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, is “one of us” said they decided not to support the former vice-president because the APC presented a joint Muslim ticket.

The candidate of the APC is Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with Senator Kashim Shettima his running mate. Both are former governors.

MURIC’s statement reads in part:

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a Muslim and a Northerner. He is therefore one of us. But Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima are two Muslims. Just as two heads are better than one, two Muslims are better than one.

Ahmed and Kashim are better than Abubakar and Okonwa.

We repeat, two Muslims are better than one.
