Cleveland Cavaliers Players Accuse Kevin Love Of Faking An Illness To Leave A Game

It’s a really weird time to be a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers right now. There are persistent trade rumors that seem to be coming to light on a daily basis, and the team is on a massive slide, losing nine of their last 12 games, including a matchup against Oklahoma City in which the team allowed an embarrassing 148 points.

The first weird moment of the game against the Thunder came when Kevin Love left, as he was dealing with an illness. But a report by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski suggests that some members of the team’s locker room weren’t exactly on board with Love’s claims of an ailment keeping him from playing.

Wojnarowski tweeted that the team held a meeting on Monday after practice, and apparently, a handful of players questioned whether Love was actually sick.

Love, in response, “defended himself,” and the team might have worked out some of its internal beef.

Trust is apparently an issue in Cleveland, as Isaiah Thomas has even said that the Cavs have none right now. But trust between one another on the floor is one thing, accusing a teammate of faking an illness to skip out on a game where you got run off the floor is something else. Every time things seems like they can’t get any weirder in Cleveland, it seems like something like this goes down.
