Diego Costa Is Officially Back To Athletico Madrid
The Spanish international has officially rejoined his former club after initially agreeing to the transfer back in September
Atletico Madrid have officially confirmed the return of forward Diego Costa from Chelsea in a reported £67m deal .
Costa signed a pre-contract agreement with his former club back in September after being frozen out at Stamford Bridge, and he was presented to the press at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Sunday morning.
The Spanish international forward has regularly been pictured in training with Atletico, but was unable to play for the club as his signing came outside of the transfer window.
Atleti have also been under a transfer ban for the last two windows after being found guilty of breaching rules over the signing of young players, but that ban comes to an end on January 1.
Costa returns to Atletico three-and-a-half years after he left the club for Chelsea in a £32m deal.
