Ghana Premier League Cancelled Because of Coronavirus
A final decision has been taken by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to cancel the the country’s top-flight league because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The league is among competitions affected after the 2019/20 football season was cancelled following a virtual meeting by the GFA Executive Council.
The football season was suspended in March after government placed an indefinite ban all public gatherings as part of efforts to fight the virus which has claimed over 100 lives in the West African country.
The Women’s Premier League, Division One, Division Two and MTN FA Cup are among other competitions which have been affected by the cancellation of the season.
