Harry Kane’s Brace Gives England Win Over Tunisia

Harry Kane netted a stoppage-time winner, as England began their 2018 World Cup campaign, with a 2-1 win over Tunisia on Monday night.

 

The Tottenham Hotspur striker had opened scoring in the 11th minute, after pouncing on a loose ball inside the area.

However, Tunisia levelled throughwhen Kyle Walker was adjudged to have fouled in the area, a decision backed up by a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review.

Ferjani Sassi tucked away the penalty, despite Jordan Pickford getting a fingertip on it.

Kane had a claim for a spot kick waved away, before he headed in the winner in added time.

The win puts the Three Lions in second place in Group G, behind Belgium who hammered Panama 3-0 in the earlier game.
