Henrikh Mkhitaryan Gets Number 7 Shirt At Arsenal
Arsenal have confirmed Henrikh Mkhitaryan will inherit Alexis Sanchez’s old squad number.
The Armenia international’s move from Old Trafford was confirmed on Monday in a swap deal which saw Sanchez move in the opposite direction.
Mkhitaryan will have to fill the void left by the Chilean international’s departure in more ways after he was handed the No.7 shirt on Tuesday.
After wrapping up a move for Mkhitaryan, Arsenal are pushing ahead with their efforts to sing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund but Wenger has hinted he has other targets in mind as well.
He said, “You never know how close they are. These are the kind of things that, at the moment, are one of the possible movements.
“We have other things in mind as well and we have plenty of opportunities in different positions. The final decision is not made.”
