Inside Philippe Coutinho’s New Barcelona Home

Barcelona superstar Phillipe Coutinho has opened the doors to his stunning mansion a month after it was burgled. The Brazil international is shining in the absence of Neymar this week, scoring in the 3-0 win over Russia.

The former Liverpool welcomed a reporter into his home and showed off his stunning backyard.

Away from La Masia, Coutinho can unwind in his swimming pool or play a game of teqball – where football and table tennis come together.

Coutinho resides with his wife, daughter, sister and two cousins, with team-mate Luis Suarez also in the neighbourhood.

The garden also features a Teqball table – a curved table tennis-size board where players kick a small ball to each other, and which is regularly used by footballers to hone their skills.

The transition to life in Catalonia has not been smooth though, with his previous place burgled last month. His wife Aine explained how the criminals took advantage whilst they were out for dinner.

“We left the house to have dinner, and when we returned we saw there,” Aine said.

“We called the police and they came and went through everything. Everything in the house was mixed up but we were lucky nobody was there when it happened.”

Coutinho admits he is still adjusting to the change: “I am still adapting, everything is very new. The way of working, the club, the way of playing is a bit different.”

Tite will hope his Barcelona star, fresh from only playing domestic football for his new side, will continue his form into the World Cup.

The Selecao will hope to lay down a marker vs Germany and prove there is no dependency on Neymar.
