Man City Beat Bristol to qualify for final of Carabao Cup

Manchester City are still in the hunt for an unprecedented quadruple, after they saw off Bristol City 3-2, to qualify for the final of the Carabao Cup.

Pep Guardiola’s men won the first leg 2-1 at the Etihad and travelled to Ashton Gate needing to avoid a big-margin defeat to qualify.

Goals from Leroy Sane, Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne secured a 5-3 aggregate triumph and Guardiola’s first cup final in English football.

Marlon Pack’s 64th-minute header and a close-range strike from Aden Flint in stoppage time looked like giving Bristol City a draw on the night, but De Bruyne scored with the final kick of the match.

City will not face either Arsenal or Chelsea for the first silverware of the season.
