Manchester United End Pre Season With Win Over Sampdoria
Manchester United rounded off their pre-season preparations, with a 2-1 win over Sampdoria on Wednesday night.
Jose Mourinho’s men took the lead, after Henrikh Mkhitaryan finished off a rapid counter-attack down the right in the first half.
The Serie A side equalized in the 63rd minute, when Dennis Praet lashed a low effort past David De Gea.
United took the lead again with nine minutes left. Anthony Martial embarked on another mazy run down the left and set up Juan Mata to finish from the edge of the box.
Mourinho and his team will now return to England, to prepare for the league opener against West Ham.
