Nationwide Curfew Now 12 Midnight To 4am – FG
Federal Government has announced that the long-running curfew across the country has now been relaxed to 12 midnight to 4am in the morning.
The FG had on May 4, 2020 imposed a nationwide curfew from 6pm to 8am. It later reviewed the timing to between 10pm and 4am.
Sani Aliyu, national coordinator of the presidential task force (PTF) on COVID-19, has now announced the adjustment at a media briefing on Thursday, September 3.
He added that persons on essential services are exempted from the curfew hours, saying;
We are modifying the curfew to commence from 12 midnight to 4am nationwide, effective from 12:01 hours tonight. This does not apply to people on essential services and international travellers that might be returning from abroad.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari also extended the lifespan of the PTF which is supposed to end on September 17, until the end of December.
