Owner of Greek football club, PAOK, Ivan Savvidis has shocked the football world by storming the pitch with a gun after the referee disallowed a goal during the league match against AET.

The 58-year-old approached the referee before being whisked away by the security team.

The referee, however, awarded the goal which was first ruled as offside. The controversial win saw PAOK narrowly gap AEK at the top of the Greek Superleague table.

AEK boss, Manolo Jimenez, after the match, claimed that PAOK was awarded the goal after the crazy scenes.

He told Onda Cero, “Right now we are leaving the stadium escorted by the police.

“The referee has invalidated the goal of PAOK for offside, there was a brawl of players and many people entered the field, including their president with bodyguards.

“The shame is that in the end the referee has given them the goal, after all that has happened. ‘We learned later that the president had a gun, we did not see it there on the pitch.”
