Luis Suarez ended another frustrating game in front of goal for Barcelona by storming off in the final minute of a 3-0 victory.

Barcelona played behind closed doors inside the Nou Camp amid tense scenes outside the stadium and in the city.

Spanish police clashed with people in the streets as they attempted to lodge a vote in the Catalonia referendum, deemed illegal by the Spanish authorities. Suarez and his team-mates played their game in an empty stadium in protest and amid concerns about fans’ safety.

The Uruguayan was booked in the 51st minute for diving and it seems his frustration boiled over with just a minute of injury time left.

Suarez missed an excellent chance to make it 4-0 and was so annoyed with himself, he left the pitch and headed for the dressing room. But, that was not before he ripped his shirt, trudging off the field with his jersey almost torn in half.

Despite the empty stadium, Barcelona’s form were hardly affected as they broke the deadlock in the second half through Sergio Busquet. Lionel Messi wrapped up the win with two goals in seven minutes and Suarez seemed furious to fail to get on the scoresheet.

Barcelona’s talisman then played Suarez in on goal, but the striker dragged his shot wide after opting to take it early.

Suarez was practically unstoppable last season, but he has scored just twice in eight appearances this campaign.
