Rotimi To Star In Upcoming ‘Coming To America’ Sequel, ‘Coming 2 America’
The ‘Power’ star joins Teyana Taylor, Rick Ross & more!
Nigerian-American muli-hyphenate, Rotimi won many hearts with his scene-stealing work on the beloved series, Power. While he’s also a gifted musician, acting is where he truly shines, and that’s why he was cast in the Coming To America sequel.
While there’s no word on Rotimi’s role, we know the sequel follows Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy), who discovers he has a long-lost son in America. With his father dying, Akeem must travel back to America to find him, so he can assume his role as king.
The film boasts a robust cast that includes James Earl Jones, Arsenio Hall, Teyana Taylor, Wesley Snipes, Rick Ross, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan and more. Hopefully, the sequel will be a lot less problematic than the original, but we won’t hold our breaths.
Coming 2 America will hit theaters in time for Christmas of 2020
