Russia 2018: Ahmed Musa’s Goal Ranked The Eighth Best At The World Cup

Two weeks ago, Ahmed Musa’s second goal against Iceland at the 2018 World Cup was shortlisted for the Goal of the Tournament. With voting now concluded, the results are in, and Musa’s sensational goal snatched up the eight position out of the 18 that were shortlisted.

Scoring one of the top ten goals of the tournament is a huge achievement for Musa, who was seen as a struggling Leicester City player before the World Cup. After the brace against Iceland, he was nicknamed “Boom Boom Musa” – showing how those goals resounded in the hearts of Nigerians.

Naturally, clubs are now looking to sign him on a loan – the latest being a £12 million bid from Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr which Leicester rejected. Hopefully, a bigger bid is on its way for one of the biggest African breakout stars from the tournament.
