Top 10 Players Who Played For Both Inter And AC Milan

Published

on

The Derby della Madonnina sees Inter face AC for bragging rights in Milan.

But let’s face it, the glory days of the ’90s are long gone.

There’s no more defences built from Italian marble, aka Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Costacurta, or attacks comprised of Roberto Baggio and Ronaldo.

Some of the best players to grace the game have turned out for both Inter and AC. Now that’s just being greedy.

10. Patrick Vieira

Paddy signed for Milan in 1995 but was only at the San Siro for a season before Arsene Wenger signed him for Arsenal. He was more successful at Inter, picking up three league titles.

9. Edgar Davids

The pitbull moved to Milan fresh off the back of winning the Champions League at Ajax. Wasn’t particularly great at either Milan side, but was a major part of Juventus’ successes.

8. Sulley Muntari

The Second African On The List! If anything points to the demise of the Milan derby, it’s Muntari playing for both Inter and AC, via a loan spell at Sunderland.

7. Taribo West

How West The Nigerian Left Back played for both Milan clubs is a mystery. His agent deserves a massive pat on the back, as does his barber.

6. Clarence Seedorf

Another player who moved directly from Inter to AC, in exchange for Francesco Coco. AC definitely got the better end of the bargain.

5. Andrea Pirlo

Inter sold Pirlo to AC in 2001, and regretted it instantly as he established himself as one of the world’s best midfelders, scooping two Champions Leagues in the process.

4. Hernan Crespo

Inter signed Crespo as a replacement for Ronaldo in 2002. Unsurprisingly he failed to do so. Scored twice in Milan’s infamous Champions League final loss to Liverpool.

3. Mario Balotelli

Went from a prodigy at Inter, where he was their youngest Champions League goalscorer, to unwanted bad boy at AC.

2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Battered in the goals at Inter and AC. In terms of honours he was more successful at Inter, winning three league titles

1. Ronaldo

R9 joined Inter for a world record fee in 1997, winning the Ballon d’Or. Pitched up at Milan ten years later looking slightly worse for wear but still with the feet of a genius.
