Top Highlights & Performances from the 2017 MTV #VMAs

The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards have come and gone with a lot of talking points from the performances to moving speeches and more.

Katy Perry set the ball rolling with her “Out Of This World” entrance through the roof as an astronaut and she also rounded up the show with a performance of her hit song “Swish Swish” featuring Nicki Minaj.

Jared Leto paid a tribute to Linkin Park‘s former front-man Chester Benningtonwho committed suicide some weeks back. Another high talking point was Logic‘s performance of “1-800-273-8255” with Alessia Cara & Khalid preaching against suicide.

P!nk was awarded with the prestigious Michael Jackson Vanguard Award and in her speech told a moving story of an episode with her daughter. Mother of Charlottesville Victim Heather Heyer also got on stage to announce the founding of the Heather Heyer Foundation against Hate.

Kendrick Lamar who scooped home the most awards on the night performed a medley of “Humble” & “DNA“.
