UEFA Champions League: Ronaldo Sees Red As Juventus Beat Valencia



Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off in his UEFA Champions League debut for Juventus. He was shown a red card by German referee Felix Brych in the 29th minute at Estadio Mestalla after an altercation with Valencia defender Jeison Murillo.

Ronaldo was being tracked by Murillo in the penalty box Murillo instantly fell to the ground and, after consulting his assistant on the goalline, German Referee Brych sent Ronaldo off.

Juventus were awarded a Penalty on the stroke of half them when Valencia team Captain Dani Parejo fouled former Valencia Player Joa Cancelo in the box.


Miralem Pjanic stepped up to convert the spot kick, despite Neto going after the ball. The Visitors dominated the game throughout the second half and were awarded another penalty which Pjanic converted again to give Juventus 2-0 lead on the 51st Minute.

Ronaldo had tears in his eyes when he finally walked down the tunnel after his harsh red card will now miss Juventus’ next game in Group H, which is at home to Young Boys on October 2
