Wolves appoint ex-Spain and Sevilla boss Lopetegui
Wolves have announced that Julen Lopetegui will become their new head coach following the dismissal of Bruno Lage last month.
Lopetegui, 56, has an impressive CV after enjoying spells in charge of Porto, Spain, Real Madrid and Sevilla.
His greatest success to date was lifting the Europa League with the Andalucian outfit in 2019-20.
But Lopetegui was dismissed from his managerial role in Seville earlier this season after a disappointing start to the campaign.
Now, he will take on a new challenge with Wolves, a side who find themselves towards the foot of England’s top flight.
Lopetegui will look to carry the West Midlands side up the Premier League table and away from a looming relegation battle.
