Women of Ekpetiama Kingdom Declare War Against Kidnappers
Women of Ekpetiama Kingdom in Bayelsa have declared war against Kidnappers, rapists, drug peddlers and perpetrators of other social vices in the area.
Joined by members of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, the women marched to different communities sensitising and calling on the people to unite and purge the kingdom of social maladies.
Ovieteme GeorgeĀ reports that at the palace of Ekpetiama Kingdom, women from different communities meet for a briefing from their king.
Coming out of the palace, the women hit the road carrying placards and banners with inscriptions condemning social vices their kingdom. They are dressed in native attires of war.
Non-governmental organisations and the International Federation Of Women Lawyers are also part of the march against criminality in Ekpetiama Kingdom.
The march against social vices started from Gbarantoru to Tombia, Akaibiri, Bumoundi, Bumoundi-Gbene and ended at Ikibiri.
