Women’s Euros: England Beat Sweden 4-0 to Book Place In finals

The Lionesses have made it into Sunday’s Euro 2022 final at Wembley Stadium after beating Sweden 4-0 in Tuesday’s semi-final at Bramall Lane

England’s Lionesses are bidding to lift the European Championship trophy for the first time on home soil and have taken their biggest step yet after a clinical performance saw them see off Sweden 4-0 in their semi-final at Bramall Lane on Tuesday.

Sarina Wiegman’s outfit took the lead in the 34th minute through top scorer Beth Mead, who grabbed her sixth goal of the tournament, before a second half onslaught followed.

Goals from Lucy Bronze, Alessia Russo – who scored a remarkable back-heel – and Frank Kirby rounded off the win to book England’s place in Sunday’s final, in what was another impressive performance from the Lionesses.
