A new wave is about to hit the Nigerian music scene, and it comes in the form of rising Afrobeat artist SCOFIELD born Chibuike Christian Nwali, a native of Ohaukwu, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

Inspired by the brilliance and resilience of Michael Scofield from the cult-favorite Hollywood series Prison Break Chibuike adopted the name not just as a moniker but as a mindset — smart, strategic, and relentless. Now, he’s channeling that same energy into his music career, bringing raw passion and street-born lyricism to center stage.

Scofield’s journey began in 2019, during his secondary school days at Oyemekun Grammar School in Akure, Ondo State. What started as playful freestyle battles with classmates quickly became something deeper a calling. The lunchtime cyphers, the laughter, and the competitive spirit laid the foundation for a dream: to become a globally recognized African music sensation.

“From those early days freestyling with my friends, I knew music was more than a hobby it was my mission,” Scofield shares.

With a vision set firmly on becoming a global success story from Nigeria, Scofield is now gearing up to release his debut single, “DOUBLE SIX” a track that captures both his roots and his rise, blending street consciousness with bold ambition. The single promises heavy-hitting production, lyrical depth, and the kind of infectious energy that marks the arrival of a future star.

Looking ahead, Scofield isn’t just focused on his own success. In his words:

“In five years, I don’t just want to be a successful musician. I want to be a platform. I want to lift other upcoming artists and help them grow.”

With “DOUBLE SIX” on the horizon, Scofield is ready to roll the dice and all signs point to a winning hand.
