Aniebiet King’s career illustrates how technical expertise can evolve into creative leadership.
Her fashion journey began with hands-on experience in bespoke apparel and ready-to-wear production. At Adaberrys Signature, she worked with bespoke womenswear and Ankara print collections, gaining experience in client fittings, garment adjustments, fabric cutting and retail presentation.
She subsequently developed a more specialised technical practice at Style by Flora Fashion Design, where she worked as a Pattern Drafter and Decorative Embellishment Specialist. Her responsibilities included pattern drafting, technical garment construction, body measurements, fittings and material selection.
By 2018, Aniebiet had progressed into senior fashion styling at Lestine Fashion House. There, she managed client consultations and tailored fittings for high-end womenswear while collaborating with design and production teams to transform client briefs into customised silhouettes.
This progression ultimately led to the establishment of Annieve & Co., where Aniebiet now operates as Founder and Creative Lead. Her responsibilities have expanded beyond garment creation to include brand identity, creative vision, commercial strategy, client styling, supplier sourcing, digital marketing and financial planning.
The evolution of her career reflects the breadth of contemporary fashion practice. Aniebiet’s experience encompasses the technical, creative, commercial and interpersonal dimensions of the industry.
Her recognition through the Edo Tourism Fashion Showcase Awards in 2019 and the FADAN Edo Chapter Excellence & Recognition Awards in 2021 further marks significant stages in her professional development.
