American Billionaire, Bill Gates, and Chairman of the Dangote Group of Companies, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, were at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, on Wednesday.

They met Vice-President Kashim Shettima shortly before the National Executive Council meeting which held at the Council Chambers of Aso Rock.

Among those sighted at the meeting were Governors Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Babagana Zulum (Borno), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa State), Duoye Diri (Bayelsa), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Lawal Dauda (Zamfara State).

Others were some Ministers and deputy Governors representing their principals.

NEC, a statutory body mandated to advise the President on the nation�s economic affairs, comprises the Vice President, Governors of the 36 states of the federation, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Minister of Finance, and other stakeholders in the economic sector.

Recall that at the last NEC meeting, members ratified the nomination of six state governors as members of the Board of Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).

The governors who represents the six geopolitical zones, were from Borno, Katsina, Imo, Ekiti, Kwara, and Akwa Ibom States.

A statement from the Vice Presidents office signed by his Spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha, said NEC noted the importance of NDPHC to the country�s economic development in approving the nominations.

He also said the meeting saw the presentation of key updates and recommendations from various ad hoc committees.
