Arsenal began their season with a convincing victory over Wolves at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners dominated the game, with Kai Havertz opening the scoring with a header from Bukayo Saka’s cross.

The Nigerian-born England forward then added a second goal with a powerful left-footed shot after a quickly taken free-kick.

Despite not being at their best, Arsenal controlled the game and deservedly secured a 2-0 win.

Wolves debutant Jorgen Strand Larsen had a header saved by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, and substitute Matheus Cunha missed a clear chance to equalize. However, Wolves failed to create many clear-cut opportunities, and manager Gary O’Neil couldn’t argue with the outcome.
