Just in time for Father’s Day, Nigerian Afro-fusion star Spyro has released a powerful new song titled “Applaudize” (Father’s Song), and it’s already tugging at hearts. Known for his chart-topping hits like “Who Is Your Guy?” and “Billing,” Spyro takes a softer, more emotional turn in this release, shining the spotlight on a group that often gets overlooked in music —fathers.

In Spyro’s own words:

“There are a thousand songs appreciating mothers…and we love them. This is a special one to appreciate fathers for all they do.

And “Applaudize” lives up to that promise. The track is a soulful dedication to the men who lead, love, and sacrifice silently. With touching lyrics and a warm melody, it feels like a personal hug from a grateful child to a devoted father.

Spyro is no stranger to big moments, but this one hits differently. With “Applaudize,” he’s done something meaningful, timeless, and beautifully necessary. It’s a reminder that fathers, too, deserve their flowers while they can still smell them.
