Nigerian international winger Moses Simon has officially joined Paris FC from fellow French club Nantes, the capital city outfit announced on Wednesday. The 29-year-old has penned a three-year deal, becoming a key acquisition as Paris FC prepares for their highly anticipated return to the French top-flight for the first time since the 1978-1979 season.

Simon’s arrival underscores Paris FC’s ambition following a significant change in ownership last November, when the Arnault family, alongside Austrian energy drinks giant Red Bull, took control of the club. Notably, former Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp serves as Red Bull’s global head of football, signaling a clear intent for growth and development within the organization.

During his six seasons with Nantes, Moses Simon proved to be a consistent performer, scoring 37 goals in 201 appearances across all competitions. The fee for his transfer to Paris FC was not disclosed.

François Ferracci, Paris FC’s sporting director, expressed his satisfaction with the signing. “Moses was a priority for us and he has shown a real interest in our project despite a lot of demand (from other clubs),” Ferracci stated, highlighting the significance of securing the winger’s services.

Simon’s experience and attacking prowess are expected to be vital for Paris FC as they aim to establish themselves in Ligue 1 and build upon their recent promotion success.
