The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Olasijibomi Ogundele, the CEO of luxury real estate firm Sujimoto Construction Limited, wanted on charges of funds diversion and money laundering.

According to a notice released by the anti-graft agency, Ogundele, a 44-year-old from Osun State, is being sought in connection with a case that has been under investigation. His last known address is listed as G29, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos. The EFCC has requested that anyone with information regarding his whereabouts contact the commission.

The declaration follows an earlier investigation by the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID) in October 2024, related to a real estate fraud allegation. A client, Kabiru Garba Ibrahim, had accused Ogundele of failing to deliver a three-bedroom flat at the LeonardoBySujimoto Homes project after paying $325,000.

After being arrested and released on bail in a separate incident, Ogundele denied any wrongdoing. He had attributed the project’s delays to the country’s economic challenges, including rising material costs and inflation. He also stated that he was working toward an amicable resolution with his client.
