The National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, met with party stakeholders in Cross River State on Tuesday, calling for greater unity and intensified grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing party members at the state secretariat in Calabar, Kwankwaso expressed his satisfaction with the leadership of the NNPP in Cross River. He encouraged them to build on the gains from the 2023 elections and work together to secure victory in the future. “We must work with one mind if we truly want to win elections in this state and across Nigeria,” he stated.

The State Chairman of the NNPP, Tony Odey, hailed Kwankwaso’s presence as a significant morale booster for party members. Odey noted that the visit would enrich the party’s capacity and help chart a new course for collective progress. He also praised the party’s Contact Committee for providing a new office and an official vehicle, describing the resources as a source of “envy to other political parties in the state.”

In his vote of thanks, State Publicity Secretary Odey Nyambi assured Kwankwaso that the NNPP is now well-positioned to win the state in 2027. Nyambi emphasized that with the current structures on the ground and the encouragement from the national leader, the party is confident in its ability to secure power in Cross River.
