Reekado Banks has publicly addressed a social media user who mocked him after he attended a church service with content creator Toheeb Okala, popularly known as Kesari.

The controversy began when Kesari, who has been documenting his journey to find a new religious path, shared a post about his first church visit. In the post, he revealed that Reekado Banks had accompanied him. Photos and videos from the service quickly went viral, showing the two men participating in worship and prayer.

Following the viral posts, a social media user commented on one of the pictures, stating, “When they fail at music they start to go to church.†The remark quickly drew a sharp reaction from Reekado Banks, who responded in a video, questioning the mockery.

“Yesterday, I invited Kesari to church. And today I am seeing it everywhere on Twitter. And a comment under one of the posts was ‘when they fail at music they start to go to church’,” he said. The singer expressed his anger, demanding to know what better options the critic could offer, adding, “Na your house make I come? Shey the ogunme dey your house make I subscribe?”

Reekado Banks, who gained fame after signing with Mavin Records in 2014, has had a successful career with hits and notable projects.
