Cristiano Ronaldo reached another career milestone during Portugal’s UEFA Nations League match against Croatia, becoming the first men’s football player to score 900 career goals.

Ronaldo hit the landmark with a goal in the 34th minute of the match, connecting with a perfect cross from Nuno Mendes to beat Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovi? and double Portugal’s lead in their 2-1 win.

Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first footballer in history to score 900 career goals. The five-time Ballon dOr winner reached the milestone by scoring for Portugal in his countrys Nations League clash with Croatia.
Ronaldo met a left-sided cross on the edge of the six-yard box to volley home the landmark goal.

After realising his achievement, Ronaldo looked emotional as he put his head in his hands and sank to his knees in celebration. It was the 131st goal of his international career, with the other 769 coming at club level.
Ronaldo started his career at Sporting Lisbon and, after impressing at youth level, he made his senior debut in September 2002 in the Primeira Liga.

Dalots first goal looked set to precipitate a rout after neat work by Bruno Fernandes at close quarters set up his Manchester United team-mate to fire home, and though Croatia didnt concede for the last hour of the game they offered precious little going forward as Luka Modrics star continues to wane.

Portugal completed their main objective of claiming three points though, with Ronaldo linking up more play in the second half and Mendes and Nelson Semedo had opportunities to put the game to bed.
Dalots own goal four minutes before half-time kept Croatia in the game and they had chances of their own, belatedly growing into the game in the final 20 minutes.
Andrej Kramaric was instrumental in the build-up to his sides score and was given a shot at stealing a point in the dying seconds of the game, but shinned it past the post as Portugal ran out deserved winners.
