Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage has unveiled her highly anticipated fourth studio album, “This One Is Personal.” The 15-track project is a deep dive into her life, exploring a raw and vulnerable side of the artist that she has never shared before.

In a conversation with Apple Music, Savage described the album as her “most vulnerable” record to date, revealing that it was created over two years and served as a therapeutic outlet during a challenging period in her life. The album is a musical diary, with each song reflecting a personal experience of love, heartbreak, faith, and renewal.

To keep the focus on her storytelling, Savage kept the featured artists to a minimum, with guest appearances from Skepta, Taves, and James Fauntleroy. The project was preceded by the singles “You4Me” and “On the Low” and showcases her versatility, moving from stripped-back piano ballads to mid-tempo grooves with raw, confessional lyrics.

Among the standout tracks are the piano-driven “I’m Done,” the narrative-focused “10%,” and the unflinchingly honest “You’re Not the First (You’re Just the Worst).” The album also takes a spiritual turn on “Pray No More” and “Change,” where Savage reflects on her relationship with God.

Announcing the album on X, Savage shared her heartfelt emotions, stating, “I honestly can’t put into words the emotions I’m feeling right now. This project is so close to my heart, and I poured every part of me into it. I just pray you receive it with the same love I created it with.”
