Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has shown his generosity by gifting Remo Stars ?10 million following their historic victory in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The donation was split evenly, with ?5 million going to the players and ?5 million to the technical crew.

Remo Stars clinched their first-ever NPFL title with a 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. This win brought their total points to 68 after 35 matches, with a record of 21 wins, five draws, and nine losses.

Under the guidance of coach Daniel Ogunmodede, the team has established a commanding 10-point lead over second-placed Rivers United, who have 58 points from 16 wins, 10 draws, and nine defeats.

Remo Stars’ achievement is a historic one, as they are the first team from the South West region to win the NPFL title since Julius Berger’s victory in 1996.
