Real Madrid recovered from a halftime deficit to defeat Legans 3-2, extending their unbeaten streak at the Estadio Santiago Bernabu to eight league matches. The victory puts them level on points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga.

The match began with a cautious start from the home side against relegation-battling Legans. Luka Modric tested Legans goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic early on, and then had another shot blocked by Sergio Gonzalez.

Kylian Mbappe scored the opening goal from the penalty spot after Arda Guler was fouled by Oscar Rodriguez. However, Legans responded quickly, with Diego Garcia scoring from a Valentin Rosier assist.

Legans then stunned the Bernabu by taking the lead through Dani Raba, assisted by Oscar Rodriguez. But Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham quickly equalized, scoring on the rebound after Brahim Diaz’s shot hit the bar.

Real Madrid regained the lead in the last 15 minutes. Mbappe scored a free-kick, his first-ever direct free-kick goal, to put the hosts ahead.

Real Madrid then absorbed pressure from Legans, but the visitors were unable to find an equalizer.

The win puts Real Madrid level on points with Barcelona, though Barcelona could regain a three-point lead with a win against Girona on Sunday.

The result sets up a potentially crucial El Clasico match in May, while Legans faces a tough battle to avoid relegation.
