Reigning Spanish champions Barcelona ended their pre-season with a dominant 5-0 victory over Italian side Como in the Joan Gamper Trophy. The match, played at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, was a final tune-up before their LaLiga title defense begins against Mallorca.

The goals came from Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal, who each scored twice, and a first-half strike from Raphinha.

The game also marked a significant moment off the pitch, as goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen gave the traditional captain’s speech. This gesture appears to signal a resolution to a recent public dispute with the club over his back injury. The 33-year-old German had his captaincy restored just days before the match.

New loan signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United made a substitute appearance, providing the assist for Raphinha’s goal. However, he also had a mixed performance, missing a chance to score into an empty net.
