The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has concluded its 2025 recruitment application process, drawing a total of 1,911,141 applicants.

The recruitment, which faced several delays due to technical challenges and portal crashes, saw its deadline extended from August 4 to Monday, August 11.

Application Breakdown by State

Data from the CDCFIB portal shows a wide disparity in applications across the country.

Top Applicants: Kogi State led the applications with 116,162, followed by Kaduna with 114,536, and Benue with 110,565. Kano and Niger states were also among the top five, with these five states collectively accounting for 510,174 applications.

Lowest Applicants: At the lower end, Bayelsa had the fewest applications with 11,669, followed by Lagos with 14,216, Rivers with 22,210, Ebonyi with 23,601, and Delta with 27,962. These five states combined submitted 99,658 applications.

In an official statement on its social media handles, the CDCFIB thanked all Nigerians for their interest and announced the next phase of the process. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email and text message, and applicants are advised to monitor the official portal and social media channels for further updates.
