FIFA and Global Citizen have announced that global superstars J Balvin, Doja Cat, and Tems will headline the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup™ Halftime Show on Sunday, July 13, 2025. The historic performance will take place at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey and will be broadcast live and free worldwide on DAZN.com, aiming to reach the largest global audience ever for a club football competition.
The tournament, which will crown the first official FIFA club world champion, runs from Saturday, June 14, to Sunday, July 13, 2025, featuring the world’s top 32 club teams across 12 venues in 11 U.S. cities.
The halftime show is designed to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative launched by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Global Citizen Co-Founder and CEO Hugh Evans. This fund aims to raise $100 million to provide children worldwide with access to quality education and football. A significant contribution will come from ticket sales, with one dollar from every ticket sold for FIFA Club World Cup™ matches in the United States this summer being donated to the fund.
“From Medellín to MetLife—I’m honored to headline the first-ever halftime show of the FIFA Club World Cup final. It’s a historic moment—for me, for Latin culture, and for every kid who dreams big,” said J Balvin.
Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems added, “We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment — to celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. I can’t wait — see you at the FIFA Club World Cup final!”
FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “For the first-ever halftime show in a FIFA competition, we’re proud to partner with Global Citizen to bring together a global superstar lineup. Together we are going to make history on a special occasion where football and music unites the world. FIFA and Global Citizen are partnering to support a powerful cause: giving every child the chance to learn, play, and dream.”
Hugh Evans, Global Citizen Co-Founder and CEO, reiterated the mission: “To end extreme poverty we need to ensure every child gets access to a quality education. That’s why, together with our partners at FIFA, we’re calling on football fans everywhere to take action.”
J Balvin’s headlining act marks his fourth collaboration with Global Citizen, having previously performed at “One World: Together At Home,” “Global Goal: Unite For Our Future,” and “Vax Live.” GRAMMY-winning artist Doja Cat previously headlined the 2024 Global Citizen Festival in Central Park and Global Citizen LIVE in Paris in 2021. Tems performed at the Global Citizen Festival: Accra stage in Ghana in 2022.
Chris Martin of Coldplay, in his long-term role as international curator of Global Citizen Festival, collaborated with Global Citizen in producing the halftime show.
The FIFA Club World Cup Final Halftime Show is produced by Global Citizen, in partnership with Live Nation, Done+ Dusted, and DPS, and will be directed by Hamish Hamilton. Executive producers include Guy Carrington, Hamish Hamilton, and Dave Meyers.
