Goddessa and Sultex were among the 14 housemates nominated for possible eviction last week as tension continues to build inside the Big Brother Naija house. Their nomination follows the recent exits of Mercedes, Martins Kamsy, and Cassi, who were previously evicted from the competition, as well as Neche, who chose to voluntarily walk away from the show.
Meanwhile, former Big Brother Naija winner and Nollywood actress Mercy Eke has opened up about the emotional toll of reality TV fame, revealing that she regrets participating in the show despite appreciating the financial and professional benefits it brought her.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Toke Moments podcast with media personality Toke Makinwa, Mercy explained that transitioning back to a normal lifestyle after winning the show proved exceptionally difficult due to non-stop public scrutiny and pressure.
Addressing her personal life and her ongoing search for a long-term partner, the reality star candidly shared how her high-profile status complicated her romantic relationships.
“I regret going to Big Brother even though I love the benefits that come from it. I dey fall in love like mumu, now I said to myself that I want to marry, I want to marry, but it’s not easy. I have dated guys that I have given a lot of money to, not one not two, because they don’t have,” Mercy shared.
The actress added that the weight of continuous public attention eventually prompted her to leave Nigeria temporarily to reset her life abroad, where she had to adapt to a different pace and work routine away from constant media spotlights.
