Eastern Conference: Knicks on the Brink of History

New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics

The New York Knicks are on the cusp of reaching the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years, leading the series 3-1 against the Boston Celtics. Their momentum was bolstered by a 121-113 victory in Game 4, where Jalen Brunson delivered an impressive 39 points and 12 assists. Mikal Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns have also been instrumental, with Towns recording six consecutive double-doubles.

The Celtics face a significant setback with the loss of star forward Jayson Tatum, who suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in Game 4. This injury not only sidelines him for the remainder of the playoffs but potentially for the entire 2025-26 season.  Despite this, teammates like Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis remain determined to fight on, emphasizing their belief in the team’s depth.

Western Conference: Timberwolves Advance

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Golden State Warriors

The Minnesota Timberwolves have secured their place in the Western Conference Finals by defeating the Golden State Warriors. This marks the first time in franchise history that the Timberwolves have won playoff series in consecutive seasons.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Denver Nuggets

The Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets are set to clash in a highly anticipated series featuring MVP contenders Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Joki?. This matchup is notable as it’s the first time since 2017 that the top two MVP favorites face each other in the playoffs.

As the playoffs progress, teams are showcasing remarkable tenacity and adaptability. The Knicks aim to capitalize on their momentum, while the Celtics strive to overcome adversity. In the West, the Timberwolves await the outcome of the Thunder-Nuggets series, promising more exciting basketball ahead.
