Mohamed Salah has etched his name further into Premier League history, setting a new record for goal involvements in a 38-game season during Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over West Ham United at Anfield. The Egyptian superstar’s assist for Luis Diaz’s goal marked his 45th goal involvement of the season.

Fresh from signing a contract extension that will keep him at Liverpool until 2027, Salah’s contribution against West Ham showcased his continued brilliance. This season, he has scored 27 goals and provided 18 assists, surpassing all previous records for goal involvements in a 38-game Premier League campaign.

Salah’s remarkable achievement brings him within touching distance of the all-time single-season record of 47 goal involvements, set by Andy Cole in 1993/94 and Alan Shearer in 1994/95, both achieved in 42-game seasons.

Since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, Salah has been a dominant force in English football. The 32-year-old boasts an unparalleled record, leading the league in goals (182), goal involvements (267), open-play assists (76), open-play chances created (481), shots (1,025), and touches in the opposition’s box (2,489) during his time at Anfield.

Salah’s prolific scoring has also propelled him to joint-fifth in the Premier League’s all-time scoring charts, level with Sergio Aguero on 184 goals.

His tenure at Liverpool has been decorated with major honors, including the Premier League title, the Champions League, the FA Cup, the League Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup. His latest record-breaking feat further solidifies his status as one of the greatest players in the league’s history.
