Sheffield United have completed the signing of experienced striker Danny Ings on a free transfer, a move that provides a much-needed boost to the club’s promotion aspirations. The 33-year-old, who was a free agent after his contract with West Ham United expired this summer, has penned a deal with the Blades.

Ings brings a wealth of experience from both the Premier League and the Championship. The forward added that he was convinced by the vision presented by the club’s management. “As soon as I spoke to the manager, I wanted to get up here and sit down face-to-face and meet everybody here. To be sat here now and signed, it is really exciting. I’ve been keeping myself fit, and I’ve just been waiting for the right opportunity. I thought this was a great one for me and a chance to progress my career as well.”
