Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has lauded the legacy of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing it as a “shining light” for the nation. Uzodimma, who is also the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors� Forum, stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is actively building upon the foundation of impactful leadership laid by his predecessor.

Governor Uzodimma made these remarks on Monday after leading a delegation of APC governors on a courtesy visit to the former president. He conveyed the governors’ deep respect, loyalty, and appreciation for Buhari’s statesmanship and leadership.

�I had the distinct honour of leading my colleagues in the Progressive Governors� Forum (PGF) on a courtesy visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari. This visit was deeply rooted in our collective respect, loyalty, and enduring appreciation for his exceptional statesmanship and impactful leadership,” Uzodimma said. “President Buhari�s legacy remains a guiding light for our party and the nation at large. His commitment to integrity, national unity, and public service continues to inspire the principles we uphold in governance today. It is heartening to see President Bola Ahmed Tinubu consolidating these progressive legacies.�

Senator Uzodimma further emphasized that Nigeria still stands to gain immensely from Buhari�s extensive experience. He reassured the former President of the APC’s commitment to preserving the values he championed during his time in office.

�As we engaged in warm discussions, we reaffirmed our gratitude for former President Buhari�s selfless service and prayed for his continued strength, good health, and longevity. We believe the Nation still has much to gain from his wealth of experience, and we remain committed to preserving the values he so diligently upheld during his time in office,� he stated.

Governor Uzodimma’s comments highlight the continued influence of former President Buhari within the APC and the narrative of continuity being promoted by the current administration under President Tinubu.
