Kwara United Technical Adviser Tunde Sanni has expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance following a 2-0 victory over Kun Khalifat FC. The goals from Aule Shirsha Johnmark and Kingsley Obiora were a testament, according to Sanni, to his players’ commitment to the game plan.

The coach believes the win is a positive morale booster that will help prepare his side for their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign against Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko. “A good test ahead of our CAF game in two weeks’ time in Ghana,” Sanni said.

The first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round against Asante Kotoko is scheduled for Sunday, September 21, 2025, in Accra, Ghana. The return leg will be played in Ilorin five days later on Friday, September 26, 2025.

Before that crucial continental tie, Kwara United will face Warri Wolves in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday four fixture on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Southern Delta University Stadium in Ozoro.
