Nigerian forward Asisat Oshoala has won the UEFA Women’s Champions League ‘Goal of the Season’ for the 2023/24 campaign after careful selection by the UEFA’s Technical Observer panel.

Oshoala clinched the plaque with her stunning bicycle kick goal in the Women’s Champions League Matchday One fixture between Spanish giants Barcelona and Portuguese outfit Benfica.

She eventually left Barcelona mid-season to join the newly founded top-flight club Bay FC in the United States.

Despite not finishing the season with Barcelona, Oshoala will collect a medal after Barcelona beat Lyon to win the Women’s Champions League on Saturday.
