Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed defiance after his side’s recent setback against Brighton. The Spanish tactician insists that despite the challenges, he and his team are determined to continue their dominance in English football.

“People want our era to be over, but we’re not finished yet,” Guardiola told reporters following the 1-1 draw at the Falmer Stadium. “I love a challenge, and I’m more motivated than ever to keep pushing.”

City’s recent struggles have sparked debate about the potential end of their era of dominance. However, Guardiola remains resolute in his belief that his team can overcome adversity and reclaim their position at the top of the Premier League.

The Catalan manager has led City to six Premier League titles in the past seven seasons, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest managers of all time. As the 2024/2025 season unfolds, Guardiola and his team will be eager to prove their critics wrong and continue their remarkable run of success.
