Eastern Conference Finals – Game 3

New York Knicks 106, Indiana Pacers 100

Series: Pacers lead 2–1

The New York Knicks staged a remarkable comeback to secure a crucial Game 3 victory over the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, preventing a daunting 0–3 series deficit. Trailing by as much as 20 points, the Knicks rallied behind a dominant fourth-quarter performance from Karl-Anthony Towns, who scored 14 of his 28 points in the final period. This surge enabled New York to outscore Indiana 33–19 in the fourth quarter, sealing a 106–100 win.

The Pacers, who had previously secured victories in Games 1 and 2, appeared poised to take a commanding series lead. However, the Knicks’ resilience and strategic adjustments shifted the momentum. The victory not only keeps New York’s championship aspirations alive but also injects renewed energy into the series as it progresses.

Western Conference Finals – Game 3

Minnesota Timberwolves 143, Oklahoma City Thunder 101

Series: Thunder lead 2–1

In a stunning turn of events, the Minnesota Timberwolves dominated the Oklahoma City Thunder with a resounding 143–101 victory in Game 3 at home. This 42-point margin marked the Thunder’s worst postseason loss in franchise history.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in just 30 minutes, setting the tone early with key defensive plays and efficient scoring. Julius Randle contributed 24 points, bolstering Minnesota’s offensive onslaught. The Timberwolves’ defense effectively stifled Oklahoma City’s MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, limiting him to 14 points and 6 assists.

The Thunder, who had dominated the first two games at home, struggled to find rhythm and cohesion. Gilgeous-Alexander criticized his team’s lack of energy and focus, emphasizing the need for a decisive response in Game 4.

Both conference finals are now poised for critical Game 4 matchups. The Knicks aim to build on their momentum and even the series, while the Timberwolves seek to capitalize on their dominant performance to level their series as well. As the playoffs intensify, each game becomes increasingly pivotal in the quest for the NBA Finals.
