Senator Ned Nwoko has publicly expressed his conviction that men who practice polygamy enjoy greater balance and stability in life compared to those with only one wife. The lawmaker made this assertion during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he discussed his family life and addressed persistent rumors of domestic violence involving his wife, the actress Regina Daniels.

Speaking on the dynamics of managing a polygamous household with four wives, Nwoko offered a practical analogy. He likened the situation to standing on multiple legs, suggesting that having more than one wife provides superior support and stability in life.

“Just imagine telling you to stand on one foot or leg. You know how difficult it is. But to stand on two, three, four is much more balanced. That’s just the example I give,” the Senator stated. He added, “So I feel sorry for those who have one wife because it’s difficult to stand on one leg.”

When questioned about the religious foundation for his belief, Nwoko maintained that his decision was based on personal conviction but also pointed out that the Old Testament permits polygamy. He affirmed that he has no regrets about his marital choices and would choose the same path if given the opportunity. “No, I don’t have any regret. I will do the same thing again. Of course, that’s the way it should be. You should marry who you want to marry,” he insisted.

Finally, the senator firmly addressed the allegations of domestic violence that have circulated regarding his marriage to Regina Daniels. He unequivocally denied the claims, assuring the interviewer that he treats all his wives and children with love and respect. “No, come on. You know I am not a violent person. I respect my wives. I love them and my kids,” Nwoko concluded.
