Turkish football club Trabzonspor has reportedly reached a loan agreement with Manchester United for the transfer of goalkeeper Andre Onana. However, the final decision now rests with the player himself.

According to reports, the Turkish Super Lig transfer window remains open until Friday, September 12th, allowing Trabzonspor to pursue a replacement for their former goalkeeper, Ugurcan Cakir, who was recently sold to Galatasaray for €36 million.

Onana has had a difficult start to the 2024/25 season, falling behind new signing Altay Bayindir in the pecking order at Manchester United. His first appearance of the season in the Carabao Cup was a struggle, as United was eliminated by Grimsby in a penalty shootout. His position at the club was further weakened by the recent £18.2 million acquisition of 23-year-old goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Antwerp on Deadline Day.
