Denver Nuggets guard Russell Westbrook achieved two significant milestones in NBA history during Friday night’s game against the Utah Jazz. In a remarkable display of his all-around game, Westbrook surpassed the late Kobe Bryant on the NBA’s all-time steals list and then quickly followed up by moving into eighth place on the all-time assists list.

Westbrook recorded his 1,945th career steal during the contest, eclipsing Kobe Bryant’s total of 1,944 and moving him up to 16th on the prestigious all-time steals ranking. However, the accolades didn’t stop there for the dynamic guard. Shortly after reaching this milestone, Westbrook dished out his 9,888th career assist, surpassing NBA legend Oscar Robertson and securing the eighth spot on the NBA’s all-time assists list.

Long before joining the Denver Nuggets, Russell Westbrook had already cemented his place among the NBA’s elite. His incredible athleticism, relentless energy, and statistical dominance have made him a standout player throughout his illustrious career.

Since joining the Denver Nuggets, Westbrook has experienced a career resurgence, becoming a vital component of their championship aspirations. Nuggets fans worldwide are now fervently hoping that Westbrook can finally achieve his first NBA Finals victory in the Mile High City.

This season, Westbrook has been a consistent contributor for the Nuggets, averaging 13.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. His leadership and playmaking abilities have made him a cornerstone of Denver’s quest for another NBA championship.
