The NBA Playoffs on Saturday delivered high-stakes drama and decisive outcomes, particularly in the Western Conference. Two pivotal games unfolded: the Denver Nuggets dominated the Los Angeles Clippers in a Game 7 showdown, while the Houston Rockets forced a Game 7 against the Golden State Warriors with a resilient Game 6 victory.
At Ball Arena in Denver, the Nuggets overwhelmed the Clippers with a 120–101 victory in Game 7, clinching their first-round series 4–3. Denver’s balanced offense and stifling defense were on full display, leading to a commanding win

  • Aaron Gordon: 22 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists
  • Christian Braun: 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists
  • Nikola Joki?: 16 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists

The Nuggets’ depth proved too much for the Clippers, who struggled to keep pace. Denver’s decisive second and third quarters, outscoring LA 37–21 and 35–19 respectively, created an insurmountable lead.

James Harden’s postseason woes continued, contributing only 7 points on 2-of-8 shooting, despite 13 assists. This performance added to his history of underwhelming Game 7 appearances.

The Clippers’ defeat echoed their 2020 playoff collapse against Denver, where they squandered a 3–1 series lead. This latest loss may prompt significant organizational changes.

With this victory, the Nuggets advance to face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Semifinals.

In San Francisco, the Houston Rockets kept their season alive with a 115–107 win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 6, tying the series at 3–3. The Rockets’ improved free-throw shooting and defensive intensity were critical in securing the victory.

  • Fred VanVleet: 29 points (7-of-13 FG), 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 9-of-9 FT

Houston’s defense limited the Warriors to 41.1% shooting and forced 16 turnovers. A dominant fourth quarter, where they held Golden State to 13 points, sealed the win.

Game 7 is set for Monday, May 5, at the Toyota Center in Houston, where the Rockets will aim to capitalize on their home-court advantage.

The Denver Nuggets’ upcoming series against the Oklahoma City Thunder promises to be a thrilling matchup, featuring MVP contenders Nikola Joki? and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Meanwhile, the Rockets and Warriors prepare for a decisive Game 7, with both teams vying for a spot in the next round.

Stay tuned for more updates as the NBA Playoffs continue to deliver excitement and unforgettable moments.
